Keith A. MacPhail, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. MacPhail has more than 29 years experience in the oil and gas industry and is currently Chairman & CEO of Bonavista Energy Corporation. Prior to joining Bonavista Energy Corporation in 1997, Mr. MacPhail held progressively more responsible positions with Canadian Natural Resources Limited with his final position being Executive Vice President and COO. Prior thereto, he held the position of Production Manager with Poco Petroleums Ltd.

Mr. MacPhail holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Montana College of Mineral Science and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists & Geophysicists of Alberta.

Mr. MacPhail is also a member of the board of directors of Canadian Natural Resources Limited and Chairman of the board of NuVista Energy Ltd. and is also on a number of other private advisory boards.

Ronald J. Poelzer, Executive Vice President

Mr. Poelzer has more than 26 years experience in the oil and gas industry and is currently Executive Vice President & Vice Chairman of Bonavista Energy Corporation. Prior to joining Bonavista Energy Corporation in 1997, Mr. Poelzer held various financial, merger and acquisition and strategic planning roles with Poco Petroleums Ltd. leading to his appointment as Vice President, Business Development. Prior thereto, Mr. Poelzer was in public practice.

Mr. Poelzer holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta since 1985.

Mr. Poelzer is also a member of the board of directors of NuVista Energy Ltd., as well as various private companies and a charitable foundation.

Jason E. Skehar, President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Skehar joined the Bonavista team in November 1999 as Production Engineer, was promoted to Production Manager in January 2003, Vice President Production in January 2005, and was promoted to his current position of President and Chief Operating Officer in November 2008. He started his career in 1994 as Operations Engineer at Fletcher Challenge and prior to joining Bonavista, held both production and exploitation positions at Renaissance Energy and Probe Exploration.

Mr. Skehar graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1994 with Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.

Glenn A. Hamilton, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Hamilton rejoined Bonavista as Senior Vice President in July 2006 after the last three years as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NuVista Energy Ltd. Effective June 1, 2008 Mr. Hamilton was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Bonavista's reorganization in July 2003, Mr. Hamilton spent five and a half years as the Vice President, Finance of Bonavista Petroleum Ltd. and played a key role in the company's successful refinancing and restructuring from a small, junior company to $1.2 billion market capitalization at the time of reorganization. Prior to joining Bonavista, Mr. Hamilton was Treasurer of Penn West Petroleum Ltd where he spent five years in the Treasury and Accounting groups. Mr. Hamilton has 25 years of experience.

Mr. Hamilton has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Thomas J. Mullane, Senior Vice President

Since joining the company in June 2000, Mr. Mullane has played a major role in Bonavista's operations and acquisitions. Mr. Mullane was promoted to Vice President, Engineering in July 2003 and was promoted to his current position of Senior Vice President in December 2010, where his responsibilities include acquisitions, exploitation and reservoir engineering management. Mr. Mullane has over 24 years of industry experience, including two years as a High Impact Exploitation Engineer with Ulster Petroleum Limited and from 1992 to 1998 was employed by PanCanadian Petroleum Limited. He has a broad exploitation and production engineering background gathered from both domestic and international assignments.

Mr. Mullane graduated from the University of Alberta in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists & Geophysicists of Alberta.

Johannes H. Thiessen, Senior Vice President

Mr. Thiessen has been a member of the Bonavista team since November 1998. In early 2000 his responsibilities were expanded to Exploration Manager and in January 2002 he was promoted to Vice President, Exploration and was promoted to his current position of Senior Vice President in December 2010. Prior to joining Bonavista, he played a key role in developing new productive core areas through successful full cycle exploration programs with Beau Canada Exploration. Mr. Thiessen also worked in various technical and supervisory positions with Shell Canada Ltd. from 1981 to 1993. He has a broad knowledge of the western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the course of his career has been involved in several major oil and gas discoveries in clastic and carbonate plays.

Mr. Thiessen graduated from McGill University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Geology and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists & Geophysicists of Alberta.

Scott H. Hanson , Vice President, Production

Mr. Hanson joined the Bonavista team in June 2002 as Production Engineer. Mr. Hanson was promoted to Production Manager in April 2007, and was promoted to his current position of Vice President Production in August 2009. His responsibilities include overseeing all of Bonavista's production and completion operations. He started his career in June 1999 as an Exploitation Engineer at Renaissance Energy and prior to joining Bonavista, he also worked at Talisman Energy as a Development Engineer.

Mr. Hanson graduated from the University of Alberta in 1999 with Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.

Bruce W. Jensen, Vice President, Engineering

Mr. Jensen joined the Bonavista team in August 2002 as Senior Exploitation Engineer. From April 2007 to December 2010, Mr. Jensen was Development Engineering Manager, initially in the West region and recently in the East and North regions. In December 2011, Mr. Jensen was promoted to his current position of Vice-President, Engineering with responsibility for all development engineering activities at Bonavista. Mr. Jensen has over 29 years of industry experience with senior and junior oil and gas companies in the roles of development, production and reservoir engineering as well as acquisition evaluations.

Mr. Jensen graduated from the University of Alberta in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.

Dean M. Kobelka, Vice President, Finance

Mr. Kobelka joined Bonavista in July of 2000 as Supervisor, Operations Accounting, was promoted to Vice President and Controller in January 2006 and effective June 1, 2008 he was promoted to Vice President, Finance. His primary responsibilities include; internal and external financial reporting, involvement in both treasury and corporate planning functions, and supervising daily accounting duties. Mr. Kobelka has over 13 years of oil and gas experience and previously held the position of Divisional Controller at Axia Netmedia Corporation.

Mr. Kobelka graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1992, received his Certified General Accountant designation in 1997 and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

Wayne E. Merkel, Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Merkel joined the Bonavista team in July 2002 as a Senior Geologist responsible for the South Central area. In April 2007, Mr. Merkel was promoted to Exploration Manager responsible for Bonavista’s western region, which has experienced substantial growth over the past 3 years. His current responsibilities include overseeing Bonavista’s exploration and development operations. He began his career at the ERCB and over the next 26 years his responsibility and success grew as a key prospect generator while employed at Westmin Resources, Amerada Hess Canada, Harbour Petroleum, Lexxor Energy and Petromet Resources.

Mr. Merkel graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1982 with a Diploma in Petroleum Technology (Geology).

Lynda J. Robinson, Vice President, Human Resources and Administration

Ms. Robinson returned to Bonavista in January 2006 as Vice President, Human Resources & Administration. She originally joined Bonavista as Supervisor, Corporate Services in 2002 and left in 2005 to join an intermediate energy trust as Manager, Corporate Services. Ms. Robinson is responsible for human resources policies and best practices as well as overseeing corporate administration. Ms. Robinson has over 20 years of industry experience in various positions of increasing responsibility, with a focus on human resources development.

Ms. Robinson graduated from Bath Technical College, England with a Diploma in Business Administration.

Hank R. Spence, Vice President, Operations

Mr. Spence joined the Bonavista team in January 1998 as Operations Manager and was appointed Vice President, Operations in January 2001. His current responsibilities include overseeing all phases of Bonavista's drilling, completions and production operations. Mr. Spence has over 30 years industry experience with an extensive background in Canadian and international oil and gas operations with several intermediate and junior oil and gas companies.

Mr. Spence graduated from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology as a Registered Engineering Technologist with a Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology.
