The Eastern region, our key oil exploitation area, is characterized by low risk development opportunities offering capital flexibility leading to modest production growth.
Development of our heavy oil assets near Lloydminster will remain the foundation of
our activity in this region. Production levels in the region are supported by the
implementation and optimization of secondary recovery schemes within several light oil pools in southern Alberta.
Horizontal technology will also be deployed in the development of a low-recovery, Viking light oil pool in east central Alberta where successful industry drilling has occurred offsetting our large land base.
